Ever wonder what it's like to live at CARE....?

Hi!  A lot of people wonder how it’s like to live at a C.A.R.E; well I don’t know anything else. My name is Dakota and for as long as I remember, baby tigers have been running around the house and nibbling on my toes. At age two the first big cat I remember sleeping with was Sampson.  He was very sick when he got to CARE.

When he started feeling better he had to sleep outside in a cage.  Sampson is 8 years old now.  He weighs about 600 pounds.  I wouldn’t want to sleep with him now. In human years he is about 40 years old, you just multiply his age by 5.  I like to go out and see Sampson and take pictures of him.  When I talk to him I wonder if he remembers me when I slept with him when he was younger.

I also have a great family. I have a Mom who is always busy either on the computer or helping the Tigers or taking care of us kids. But it is fine she is the best Mom in the world. Also did I forget to tell you about my awesome Dad, his name is Derek. He works at the Sheppard Air Force Base; he helps a lot with the cats too.  I have a sister named Destiny.  She is a pain in the you know what, like most sisters.  Dustin is my little brother. He is also a pain but I love them both very much.  We are going to be writing you every month to explain to you what it is like living at CARE. Please write us if you have any questions about the big cats.

Tune in next month till you can find out which Big Cat would rather eat Grass in stead of Steak.
