Are you Wild at Heart?

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to talk to a Tiger, purr like a Cougar, or feel the vibration of an African Lion roar? Welcome to the Center for Animal Research and Education's "Big Cat Retreat". Experience what only others have dreamed about. For two amazing days you will live, breathe, and feel some of the breathtaking felines of CARE. During this extraordinary retreat you will have the opportunity to interact safely, through secure enclosures with over 50 Big Cats who have found their home at our sanctuary. These beautiful Lions, Tigers, Spotted and Black Leopards, Cougars, and Snow Leopard have acquired their permanent refuge at CARE. You can make a difference in their lives. You will be taught how to become involved in a mutually rewarding relationship with one of these great cats. Some of the activities include educational programs on; veterinary care, safety training, animal behavior, and animal husbandry.

These retreats are scheduled several times throughout the year.
