Chika Species: Panthera Tigris - Tiger Sex: Female Born: 5.30.1998 Available for Adoption Chicka is one of the more solitary Big Cats at CARE. She lives with Chompers and her sister Consuela. She prefers to isolate herself from the other cats although she is always willing to come to the fence for love from humans. Her motherly instinct is sometimes apparent when partially blind Consuela is not feeling well or afraid. Chicka wraps her giant paws around her and holds her lovingly inside their den. On cold mornings (a rarity in Texas) the sisters snuggle up and enjoy each other’s body heat. It is a heart-warming sight.
