After months CARE finally reached its financial goal to pick up 2 African Lions from Midland, Texas. Upon arrival Tabula was quite angry. She was not fond of her scary new enclosure. It was nearly 30 times the size of the enclosure she had lived in her whole life. The sky had always been covered by a roof. Now the sky was a big and everywhere. You may hear the heart-racing roar of a lion and the purr of a loving cougar. You will be changed forever by the experience. Many of our residents have suffered abuse and exploitation in the past, but now they lounge and play without fear. The future of these animals depends on you. Princess gets a extreme home makeover from her new Dad! John is Princess’s new dad. Although John lives in Haltom City, Texas just 40 miles from CARE, he has to work far away. When John returns from his business trips he immediately comes to see Princess. During his last trip home he brought new platforms for his girl to lie on and a brand new cannon camera to take lots of pictures to update the website. 		Channel 8 News Comes to the Aid of CARE! Jim Douglas of Chanel 8 News visits our big cats and Executive Director, Heidi Berry, as CARE’s financial situation continues to plummet. We at CARE want to apologize for failing to get information out to you more timely these past few months. We have set up new systems to streamline the news delivery and we have recruited new volunteers who are helping us even out the workload. If you have not signed up for the newsletter please do.
