Layla Species: Panthera Leo - African Lion Sex: Female Born: 8.5.2003 Available for Adoption Layla is a stunning African Lioness, who found a permanent home at CARE after extensive travel with her previous owners. Layla is big for a lioness. Layla spends most her days lounging on her giant wooden spool and playing with her enclosure mates Sydney and Rasa, two female orange tigers. For many who visit CARE this is an odd, yet beautiful sight to see these two amazing species living in harmony, well…for the most part anyways. Instinctively lions are more dominate than tigers and this trait sometimes shows in Layla. She becomes quite the diva and this causes a little trouble with the other ladies. For the most part Layla and Rasa are great friends and enjoy each others company, although we all know she would enjoy the company of Sampson (big male lion) much more.
