Melita Species: Panthera Tigris - Tiger Sex: Female Born: 8.25.2005
Melita came from West Texas. She was fairly well taken care of physically but had incredible emotional distress when she arrived at CARE in the fall of 2005. She was only 8 weeks old but had a vicious temperament. She had an extremely distrust of people, in particular large men. Through many days and nights of love and attention Melita finally pulled trough. There are occasions her distasteful attitude towards men shows through, but for the most part she is a happy and healthy young tiger. She loves her primary caregivers and never fails to cry with happiness when she receives their love. Her best friend Fire and she are often found lounging around or playing with their toys.
