Tabby is a wise and loving old girl. She is over 20 years-old. Because of her advanced age, she stays in a special enclosure in the Sparks Veterinary Center which has an opening that allows her to move from the outside to the climate-controlled indoors. Most of the time Tabby can be found sleeping on her bed. Yes, Tabby has a twin size bed in her inside and outside enclosure. She has many pillows and blankets, she wraps around herself in the winter. She also has stuffed toys. She has reverted, somewhat, to her earlier life. She sleeps with Eddy the Elephant and all of her other friends. When she wants extra attention she splashes her toys in her water bucket and makes a racket until someone arrives to give her love. The CARE staff makes it a point to give her as much love and attention as possible, and she will always graciously accept it! She adores the company of people. Most nights Tabby does not sleep alone. CARE volunteers and staff spend many nights on a bed in the inside of the vet center. Of coarse there is a fence in between them, but she just wants someone to talk to and be close to her. She is definitely one of CARE’s biggest stars!
