Born:
6.6.2000
Memorial Adoption in
honor of James S. Renton brother of Carol Harney - McLean, VA
Tess is a
special needs Tiger. She was separated tragically from her siblings before
she found safety at CARE. The loss of her 3 year relationship left Tess
devastated. She had horrible ulcers which were very difficult to treat.
She immediately lost over 100 pounds. She was heartbroken and extremely
depressed. After an abundance of medication, love, and special food, Tess
made a slow rocky recovery. Years later, she still struggles with weight
issues. She gets stressed very easily. Harmony is important to this
dynamic cat. She can instantaneously switch gears from mellow and calm to
energetic and playful. Tess will never trust enough to live with another
cat, so two teenage tigers were placed in a new enclosure next to her over a
year ago. After a stressful transition, she now enjoys stalking her
playmates, her neighbors Fire and Melita.
Tess needs
an adoptive parent desperately. She requires an adoptive parent with time
to give to her. She needs to feel loved and safe. If you could be that
kind of parent for Tess please see the adoption page. If an adoption is not
in your budget but time is please sign up to volunteer. Tess desires a
friend more than anything.
